Daily Post about 2 hours 2 mins read

The Kano State Police Command has handed over a recovered orange Vibe motor vehicle and an ash-coloured Haojue motorcycle to their rightful owners following intelligence-led operations.

The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, the handover took place at the command headquarters in Bompai, Kano.

He said the properties were returned after the police completed the necessary checks, verified the ownership documents and documented the process.

“This handover is part of our ongoing efforts to recover stolen properties and ensure they are returned to their rightful owners,” the statement said.

Kiyawa said the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the police for recovering their properties, commending the officers for their professionalism and commitment to duty.

The owners also described the recovery and prompt return of their properties as evidence of a police service that responds to the needs of the public.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, congratulated the beneficiaries and said the exercise aligned with the policing vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

He said the vision emphasised the protection of lives and property, the return of stolen items to victims, and the promotion of public trust through transparent and accountable policing.

Bakori assured residents that the command would continue to work towards making Kano State safe and secure.

He added that all recovered stolen properties would be returned to their rightful owners after proper verification.
