President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has met and held fruitful discussions with Nigerian investor Dr. Abbas A. Waziri, Group Chairman of Resident Group PLC at State House Entebbe.

During the meeting held this afternoon, President Museveni and his guest discussed investment opportunities in Uganda and strengthening economic ties between the East African country and Nigeria.

Dr. Waziri expressed interest in investing in Uganda, particularly in the establishment of a cement manufacturing plant and exploring opportunities in the country’s minerals sector.

The discussions also highlighted Uganda’s rich Ankole cattle heritage, with the two sides exploring opportunities to export Ankole cattle and Ugandan dairy products to the Nigerian market.

The meeting is part of efforts to promote investment and expand economic partnerships between Uganda and other African countries, while creating new markets for Ugandan products.
