A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Musa Iliyas Kwankwaso, has commended the rescue of 176 residents of Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State has shown that President Bola Tinubu is winning the war against insurgency and other criminalities,
Speaking with journalists on the development in Kano yesterday, the APC chieftain and the Director of Finance, Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, Iliyasu, said the opposition should learn to appreciate government efforts whenever there is a breakthrough in the nation’s security challenges.
He commended President Tinubu, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, the two Ministers of Defence and the Service Chiefs for the rescue.
“This is a clear testament that sooner than later, the mirage of insecurity will become a thing of the past,” he said.
The APC chieftain added that President Tinubu’s efforts in securing the country have been clearly identified, especially by Northerners, who he said would reciprocate with massive votes in 2027.
“President Tinubu’s supporters are out and can be counted. Everyone will see them come out at the right time but, not those who keep using social media and radio stations to propagate negativity,” he said.
The 176 residents, who were abducted on February 3, regained their freedom nearly six months after their captivity.
