The Rainbow Coalition, spearheaded by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has unveiled its candidates for the general elections in the state.
The coalition did the unveiling on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
The unveiled candidates contesting the governorship, Senate, House of Representatives and Rivers State House of Assembly seats were drawn from the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Speaking at the event, the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara, presented the APC flag to Wike’s ally, Ogundu Kingsley Chinda, as the party’s governorship candidate.
Fubara also declared Wike as the leader of the state, asking those calling him (Fubara) a leader to stop.
“Those that called me my leader during the crises, please stop calling me my leader; we have a common leader now, which is His Excellency, Chief Nyesom Wike,” Fubara said.
Below is the full list of the candidates.
