Comrade Fredrick Nwoje, stated this in Port Harcourt during a media parley, where he spoke on the party’s position on the emerging political alignment in Rivers State.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nwoje said the coalition had brought together political stakeholders from different parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), APC and LP, adding that the arrangement demonstrated the possibility of political cooperation beyond party affiliations.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He described Wike’s approach as a model of inclusive politics, arguing that the coalition provided an opportunity for competent individuals from different political backgrounds to contribute to governance and development in Rivers State.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The LP chairman said the coalition was also significant to the political mobilisation for Tinubu’s re-election, urging APC governors to work with the initiative rather than oppose it.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He challenged the governors to engage the coalition through open political discussions, rather than allowing disagreements over its structure and leadership to create divisions within the ruling party.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nwoje, who expressed confidence in Wike’s political leadership, said the coalition had the potential to strengthen cooperation among political stakeholders in Rivers State and support the President’s political ambitions.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the LP’s participation in the arrangement, the chairman said the party was not merely an observer but a stakeholder whose interests should be recognised in decisions concerning the coalition.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He particularly assured party members, leaders and candidates across the 23 local government areas of Rivers State that their interests would be considered, urging them to remain committed to the political arrangement.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nwoje also expressed confidence in the party’s national leadership, led by National Chairman Nenadi Esther Usman and National Secretary Iheanacho Obioma, saying they were involved in discussions concerning the coalition at the national level.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking on the question of political representation and benefits within the coalition, the LP chairman assured members that the party would receive what he described as its fair share of the arrangement.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said: “Our fair share, our rightful place and our due entitlements in this Rainbow Coalition will certainly get to us. Labour Party will not be shortchanged.”\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He, however, called on Rivers people, particularly youths and LP members, to support the coalition, metropolis.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>The Executive Director, Health, Safety, Environment and Community of NMDPRA, Mustapha Lamorde, who represented the Authority’s Chief Executive, Rabiu Umar, said the affected stations would face sanctions for allegedly taking advantage of unsuspecting consumers.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>Dr. Lamorde explained that the exercise also involved testing petroleum products to ensure they met the required specifications.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>During the surveillance, Rainoil filling station along Station Road, Township, was queried over alleged under-dispensing and products said to be below the required specifications, while its management was warned.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>MRS filling station at the CFC axis of Port Harcourt and Stageoil filling station at the Craft Centre axis of Port Harcourt\u002FAba Road were sealed over alleged sharp practices.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>TotalEnergies filling station at Garrison Junction was also advised by the regulatory officials over alleged over-dispensing.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>Lamorde urged members of the public to report filling stations suspected of engaging in sharp practices to the NMDPRA office in Port Harcourt.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>He said, “Our men are always there and we want to assure Nigerians and even our brothers here in Rivers State and all over the country that we will continue to do our job, and I see this as a form of awareness, so that Nigerians should know that the authority is always there for them.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>“We have our website, we have our social media handles, we have our contact numbers that we display.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>“Nigerians can always contact us, and we are there to listen.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>“Wherever you see any form of infringement as a Nigerian, you have the contact to call us and we will come and sanction that particular retail outlet.”\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>Meanwhile, the NMDPRA officials commended the NNPC filling station at Trans-Amadi for complying with the required categories of services during the surveillance exercise.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>Lamorde also disclosed that it had upgraded its laboratories across its six operational zones, including Port Harcourt, to improve its capacity to test petroleum
