Russia vs Nigeria: Ex-Sevilla striker, Aleksandr Kerzhakov predicts outcome of friendly match

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Former Sevilla striker Aleksandr Kerzhakov has predicted the outcome of the international friendly match between Russia and Nigeria.

Russia will host Nigeria at the Sovcombank Arena in Nizhny Novgorod on Tuesday.

The last time both teams met was in 2025, and the match ended 1-1 after normal time.

Speaking about the upcoming Russia-Nigeria game, Kerzhakov said, as quoted by Championat:

“Russia will win this match. They will win all three home matches.

“I don’t remember teams like Nigeria coming here and going head-to-head. It will be 1-0, 2-1 [in favour of Russia].”

Russia head to the game after beating Namibia 6-0 in a friendly encounter on Saturday, while Nigeria lost 3-0 against Guinea-Bissau in an AFCON qualifier a few days ago.
