SBI Media Clocks 13, Restates Commitment to CSR

Marketing communications firm, SBI Media Group has marked its 13th anniversary with a community health outreach in Kosofe Local Government Area, Lagos.

The organisation distributed free presbyopia-medicated glasses to thousands of residents facing age-related near-vision impairment.

The gesture aligns with the group’s .strategy of pairing business growth with direct corporate social responsibility (CSR) interventions in host communities.

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, SBI Media Group, Rotimi Bankole said the anniversary provided an opportunity for the agency to reflect on its achievements and consider how to create value beyond its business.

“This anniversary allows us to reflect on our achievements, but more importantly, evaluate how we can create meaningful value outside our business.

“We wanted our 13th year to be marked by purposeful action, and supporting the Kosofe community is a direct expression of that commitment,” Bankole said.

PR Manager, SBI Media, Taiwo Talabi added that the outreach reflected the agency’s focus on people and meaningful engagement.

“Our work is fundamentally about people, and we wanted the anniversary to reflect that. We didn’t want to simply celebrate 13 years within our offices or with our clients and partners; we wanted to take the celebration to a community and create something people could genuinely benefit from,” Talabi said.

Impressed by the turn out, Talabi remarked it demonstrated the value of CSR initiatives that address real needs.

In 13 years, SBI Media has expanded from a Lagos-based agency into a global partner with footprints across Africa, Europe, North America and Asia.

The agency provides 360-degree solutions covering media planning and buying, experiential marketing and public relations, amongst others.
