Newly appointed Venezia manager, Davide Nicola has commended the capabilities of Super Eagles striker, Akor Adams following his decisive goal during their Serie A game against Napoli on Saturday.
Nicola assumed his position as Venezia's head coach this week, signing a two-year contract to succeed Giovanni Stroppa, who was removed from the position due to an unsatisfactory sequence of performances.
The victory represented the Lagunari's inaugural triumph of the season, achieved on matchday seven.
In the fourth minute of the second half, Adams opened the scoring by exploiting a defensive lapse and converting past Napoli goalkeeper, Alex Meret following a long throw-in delivered by Simon Sohm.
During the post-match media briefing, Nicola refrained from praising any single player, but recognized that Adams has numerous qualities.
As reported by Tuttiosport, the manager said, "I do not favor discussing individual players. Every player at your disposal possesses quality.
"He [Adams] demonstrates commitment and dedication, he arrived with the intention to contribute, and he possesses several highly significant attributes.
"He is receptive, he demonstrates character, he supports the collective effort. He possesses substantial potential for development."
Having joined from Sevilla during the summer transfer window, Adams has accumulated four goals and one assist across nine appearances for Venezia.
On the international platform, he scored a late equalizer as the Super Eagles drew 3-3 with Russia in a friendly encounter on October 6.
