Six Ugandan safari firms seek Polish buyers at ALLinTOO workshop

WARSAW — Six Ugandan safari and destination management companies have held business meetings with Polish and Central European tour operators at the ALLinTOO international tourism workshop in Warsaw, where Uganda was the official partner country, according to a statement from the Ugandan delegation.

The firms were Ganza Adventure, Destination Jungle, Wild Jungle Trails, Kubwa 5 Safaris, Cheetah Safaris and Crystal Safaris. The delegation said they met Polish and international buyers to promote their packages and seek business partnerships.

ALLinTOO is a business-to-business event organised by the “All Inclusive” magazine together with the Open Tourist Organization (TOO). This was the tenth edition, held in Warsaw on 22–23 October 2026. According to the organisers, its buyers are exclusively tour operators looking for partners worldwide, drawn from Poland as well as the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Buyers can pre-book meetings with suppliers through the event’s app.

The Embassy of the Republic of Uganda was the event’s official sponsor, the statement said. Uganda does not have an embassy in Poland; its embassy in Berlin is accredited to Germany as well as Poland and several other Central and Eastern European countries.

The delegation was led by Jessica Namuddu, Second Secretary in charge of tourism at the Uganda Embassy in Berlin, and Jennifer Asiimwe. They told participants that Uganda had more to offer than mountain gorillas, pointing to its wildlife, waterfalls, snow-capped mountains, cultural heritage and hospitality.

Namuddu has promoted Uganda in Poland before, showcasing the country at the Warsaw International Tourism and Travel Fair (TT Warsaw) in November 2025 alongside tour operators under the Exclusive Sustainable Tour Operators Association and SeraWild Coffee.

Alongside the sales meetings, the delegation invited Polish investors to consider opportunities in tourism infrastructure, lodge development and partnerships with Ugandan tourism businesses. It also promoted the Explore Uganda campaign and the work of the Uganda Tourism Board in marketing the country abroad.

The delegation also invoked the two countries’ wartime history, recalling that Uganda hosted Polish refugees in the 1940s. Between 1942 and 1944, about 7,000 Polish refugees, mainly women and children, were received in Uganda and settled in two camps, Nyabyeya in Masindi District and Koja (Mpunge) in Mukono District.

The workshop comes as Uganda steps up its presence in Poland. In October 2025, Uganda’s ambassador in Berlin, Stephen Mubiru, received Monika Zych, the newly appointed Honorary Consul of Uganda to Poland, based in Warsaw.

The delegation thanked the organisers for the business-to-business platform and said it hoped the engagements would translate into more visitors and investment. The statement did not say how many meetings the six firms held, whether any contracts were signed, or how many Polish tourists currently visit Uganda.
