SODMA Distributes Food Aid to 2000 Families in Somalia's Diinsoor District

The humanitarian aid distribution were distributed to 2,000 vulnerable families in Dinsoor as part of a collaborative relief initiative between SoDMA and the Government of China to assist communities facing deteriorating humanitarian challenges. The relief supplies, which included flour, rice, sugar, and cooking oil. Many of the beneficiary families have been severely impacted by climate-related challenges, particularly the prolonged drought and lack of rainfall experienced across the country during the previous winter season, which damaged farms and reduced agricultural production. The drought has had a major impact on farmers and pastoral communities, forcing many families to leave their homes in search of better living conditions.
