The Community of Kuteb Students (CKS), Federal University Wukari (FUW) chapter, Taraba State, has raised concern over the reported health condition of Miss Faith Dan-Asabe Amindi, a student of Taraba State University, Jalingo, who is allegedly experiencing a severe mental breakdown following an incident of abuse.
The student body, in a special appeal on Friday, urged the Taraba State Government, security agencies, and relevant authorities to initiate a comprehensive, transparent, and impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident.
According to a statement signed by the President of CKS, Rimamfenten B. Emmanuel, the association stressed the need for justice and accountability, calling on authorities to ensure that anyone found culpable faces the full weight of the law.
“A fair and thorough investigation would help uncover the truth while protecting the rights and dignity of all individuals involved,” the statement emphasized.
Beyond the call for justice, CKS appealed for urgent medical attention, psychological care, and rehabilitation support for Miss Amindi to assist her recovery process and help her regain confidence and hope for the future.
“The protection of every citizen, especially students, remains a collective responsibility,” the statement said.
The association urged government institutions, security agencies, and members of the public to unite in safeguarding the welfare, safety, and rights of students across Taraba State.
The association reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for the well-being of students and called for swift action to prevent similar situations and ensure that vulnerable individuals receive the support they need.
