Super Eagles: George Ilenikhena names his two Nigerian role models

Super Eagles striker, George Ilenikhena, has named his two Nigerian role models.

Ilenikhena was asked which Nigerian football icon has influenced his career after he scored his debut goal for the Super Eagles against Madagascar in a 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier on Friday.

The Al-Ittihad star simply named Austin Jay-Jay Okocha and Victor Osimhen.

“I watched Okocha and now Victor Osimhen,” the 20-year-old told Sports Digital Africa.

Ilenikhena also promised to continue working hard for the Super Eagles ahead of their next match against Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday.

“I will continue to work hard and do my best for the team on the pitch to always be in the team,” he added.
