African champions Super Falcons of Nigeria remained in 36th position in the latest FIFA women’s world rankings, DAILY POST reports.

Justine Madugu’s side also maintained their position as the highest ranked team in Africa.

The Super Falcons were in action twice against Senegal in international friendlies earlier this month.

The 10-time African champions won the first friendly 2-1 courtesy of goals from Asisat Oshoala, and Toni Payne.

They thrashed Senegal 3-0 in the second friendly with Joy Omewa bagging a brace, and Oshoala scoring the other goal.

South Africa, Ghana, Morocco, and Zambia complete the top five teams in Africa.

The next FIFA women’s world rankings will be released on 20 October, 2026.
