The Kuma Traditional Council in Sardauna local government council of Taraba State has suspended the District Head of Wurbo Gashiri, Alhaji Babai Abubakar Garba Jugulde, over alleged violations of traditional council rules and guidelines.

The suspension, as observed by DAILY POST, was announced in a letter dated October 21, 2026, and signed by the Secretary of the Kuma Traditional Council, Jelani B. Hammawa Yana.

According to the letter, the suspension was approved by members of the traditional council and took effect on October 21, 2026.

The council accused the suspended district head of acting outside established traditional council rules by allegedly conducting his affairs according to his personal wishes.

It also accused him of actions described as being contrary to government rules and the provisions guiding the operations of the traditional institution.

The council, however, stated that a proper investigation would be conducted to establish the circumstances surrounding the allegations against the district head.

It added that a final resolution or appropriate measures would be determined after the investigation.

The letter did not specify how long the suspension would last or provide further details about the alleged infractions.

As of the time of filing this report, there was no response from the suspended district head regarding the allegations.
