An old video of Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, criticising the President has resurfaced online.
In the video, Bwala questioned Tinubu’s ability to unite Nigeria, raising concerns about his character, temperament, intellectual capacity and mental stability.
He also questioned whether Nigerians were ready to elect a President who, according to him, could make statements and forget them within minutes, requiring others to fill in the gaps.
“Are we ready to have a President that will say something, in the next three minutes he can’t remember? Somebody will have to fill up the space,” Bwala said.
He further questioned what Tinubu had done to demonstrate his commitment to national unity.
“What singular thing has Tinubu done that suggests unity? This was somebody that said, ‘I never believe Nigeria.’
“He does not have the temperament to unite Nigeria. So, if you look at it left, right, centre, from character and fitness, from intellectualism, from mental stability, from agility, from the sense of unity, he does not stand a chance,” he added.
The video was shared by Paul Ibe, media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, on social media.
