Tinubu to increase monthly pensions of Nigerian Police Officers

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

The Federal Government is working to review upward the monthly pensions of Nigerian police officers.

The Managing Director of the Nigeria Police Force Pension, Kolade Morakinyo, disclosed this at an event on Monday.

According to him, the Federal Government is working to ensure that police officers battling insecurity have a decent pension upon retirement.

He appealed to police officers to exercise patience with the Tinubu administration.

“We have been working to ensure that the pay, the income pay of retirees is improved.

“So I would not want to disclose the entirety of the arrangement because it’s a Presidential Committee that is working on it, set up by the President himself, and that is why we firmly believe that this initiative is going to yield positive results at the end of the day.

“So that is why we want to continue appealing to police officers to exercise patience.

“Remember, police is in charge of the security of this country, and that is why Mr President has taken it seriously to ensure that their take-home has been improved,” he said.
