Tinubu visits Oba of Lagos, receives royal prayers, counsel

President Bola Tinubu, on Sunday, visited the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, at the Iga Idunganran Palace on Lagos Island.

The visit gave the President an opportunity to receive prayers and guidance from the traditional ruler for his administration and the country.

Tinubu was welcomed to the palace by members of the royal household and residents who gathered to catch a glimpse of the President.

Supporters, members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and other well-wishers lined the streets around Marina and Isale Eko as his convoy made its way to the palace.

The President’s presence attracted cheers from residents, creating a festive atmosphere across parts of Lagos Island.

During the visit, Oba Akiolu prayed for Tinubu, his administration and Nigeria, seeking divine guidance, peace and prosperity for the nation.

The monarch also offered counsel to the President on issues affecting the country and the welfare of Nigerians.

The engagement highlighted the traditional institution’s continued interaction with the Federal Government on matters of national development and the well-being of citizens.

Tinubu was accompanied by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.

APC stalwarts, political associates and other dignitaries also joined the President during the visit.
