Media personality Toke Makinwa has unveiled the face of her daughter, Yakira Eliana, as the little girl marked her first birthday.
Makinwa shared a series of photographs of Yakira on social media Friday, giving fans and colleagues their first public glimpse of the child, whom she had largely kept away from the spotlight since her birth.
Celebrating the milestone, the media personality described her daughter as her “answered prayer” and greatest blessing, reflecting on her journey into motherhood.
“The best part of my story, finally yours to meet. Yakira Eliana. My precious answered prayer. My greatest love. My greatest blessing,” she wrote.
Makinwa added that she was sharing “a little piece of my heaven with the world” as her daughter clocked one.
“God can be trusted, God is real… Just like Hagar my mouth can testify that I have met ‘El-roi’, the God who sees me,” she added.
In a playful message to her followers, Makinwa introduced Yakira as their “niece” while gushing over the little girl’s appearance.
“Guys, meet your niece. I cooked ohhhhhh. She is beautiful,” she wrote.
She also affectionately referred to her daughter by several nicknames, including YaYa, Ya Pom Pom and Ya Mama.
The birthday post quickly attracted reactions from fans and celebrities, many of whom described Yakira as adorable and wished her a blessed new year.
One follower described her as “a baby doll”, while actress Adunni Ade wrote, “She is gorgeous. Happy Birthday mommy’s girl.”
Other reactions included birthday wishes and comments praising the child’s appearance.
Makinwa’s decision to unveil Yakira’s face comes after a year of keeping details about her daughter relatively private.
The birthday celebration has now offered her followers a closer look at the child she described as one of the greatest blessings of her life.
