Tolu Arokodare reveals what Osimhen told him to do for injured Ajax teammate

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Ajax striker, Tolu Arokodare, has revealed what Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen told him to do for injured teammate, Kasper Dolberg.

Speaking after Ajax’s 1-1 draw with NEC on Saturday, Arokodare said Osimhen told him to show the jersey of Dolberg to the fans in the stands after scoring against the visitors.

Dolberg recently sustained a knee injury during a training session with the Danish national team while on international break.

The 29-year-old successfully underwent surgery on his right knee in Copenhagen on Tuesday and will continue his rehabilitation.

Speaking after Ajax drew NEC at Johan Cruijff ArenA, Amsterdam, Arokodare said, as quoted by Habersarikirmizi, “I wanted to do something like this [show Dolberg’s Jersey to the fans]. Or rather, it wasn’t my idea; Osimhen told me, ‘You should do something like this,’ and I did. I thank him for that.”

Osimhen had also shown Mauro Icardi’s jersey to the Galatasaray fans in the stands after the Argentine striker’s injury.
