Former Chelsea star, Marcel Desailly, has advised his old club to sign Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray.
Osimhen has been linked with Chelsea and other top European clubs in this summer’s transfer window.
Speaking to SportsCasting, Desailly insisted that the Nigerian international is strong and can bring spirit to Chelsea.
“Maybe Mateta isn’t experienced enough. But Osimhen, absolutely. He brings spirit and respect, strong respect from opponents and from his teammates,” Desailly said.
“He can be a bit unpredictable sometimes, but you need that kind of player who can justify his stature and his behaviour through performance, but also through a bit of controversy.
“He’s strong, and he can bring that spirit to Chelsea. Honestly, I would have brought in a proper number-nine type striker. There aren’t many out there who could help Chelsea in the long run.”
