Bruno Guimaraes has completed his medical tests with Arsenal ahead of a summer move from Newcastle United.
The 28-year-old is set to join the Premier League champions, after they agreed a £75m transfer fee with the Magpies.
Guimaraes will sign a four-year contract with the Gunners with the option for an extra year.
The Brazilian has already spoken with Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, who has expressed his delight at his imminent arrival.
This was confirmed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, via his X account.
Romano wrote: “Bruno Guimarães has completed his medical at Arsenal ahead of signing a four year contract at the club.
“Mikel Arteta already spoke to Bruno today, excited to welcome him as Arteta wanted Guimarães for years… and now he’s joining.
“£75m move, to be announced soon.”
