Manchester United face losing forward JJ Gabriel to Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants having reached a verbal agreement to sign him in January.
According to the BBC Sport, Real Madrid are confident of winning the race to sign the 16-year-old in the next transfer window.
Gabriel is registered at Man United but has not been back to the Premier League club since walking out in September.
He played against Atletico Madrid during Man United's pre-season tour.
Gabriel, however, has decided to pursue senior football elsewhere and has been training on his own in Spain.
His availability alerted clubs across Europe, including Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but Real Madrid now expect to sign the youngster in January.
