Arsenal are considering replacing Gabriel Martinelli with Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, according to the UK Telegraph.
Martinelli is set to leave the Emirates for a fee in excess of £50m – a club-record sale for the Gunners.
The Brazil winger has given the green light for a move to Saudi Pro League side, Al Hilal, after previously rejecting Galatasaray.
The report claims that there is “some internal surprise” at Arsenal that Martinelli was allowed to leave before the club secured an alternative for the position.
But the Premier League champions will now look to bring in Rashford on a loan deal.
Rashford spent the last two seasons away on loan at Aston Villa and Barcelona.
