Troops arrest four suspected terrorists during patrol in Adamawa

Troops of Sector 4, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), in collaboration with Rangers and Hybrid Forces in Adamawa State, have arrested four suspected terrorists.

The suspects were arrested during a fighting patrol in Hong Local Government Area of the state.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama, in a post on X on Thursday, said the troops conducted the operation at about 9:30 a.m. on September 29 across Guyeku, Amtasa, Mubang, Zahr and Washim villages in the local government area.

During the patrol, he said the troops apprehended four suspected members of the terrorist group.

According to him, “The suspects were taken into custody for preliminary investigation and further action.”

Makama explained that the operation formed part of ongoing efforts by security forces to dominate the area and curb criminal activities in the state.

He added that the operation was also aimed at disrupting terrorist activities, strengthening security around communities within the Sector 4 Area of Operations and enabling residents to carry out their normal activities.
