Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Security operatives have successfully repelled an attempted bandit attack on Rimaye town in Kankia Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The attack, which happened late on Wednesday night, was foiled through a swift response by soldiers of the 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army working alongside members of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (C-Watch) and local vigilantes.

According to a post shared on X by security analyst, Bakatsine on Thursday, the armed group attempted to invade the community but was forced to retreat after encountering strong resistance from the combined security team.

“Last night, bandits attempted to invade Rimaye town in Kankia LGA of Katsina State, but security operatives repelled them. The attack was foiled by soldiers of 17 Brigade in collaboration with the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (C-Watch) and local vigilantes, who successfully forced the bandits to retreat from the attack and flee the town.

“The swift response and coordination between the military and local security groups deserve commendation for preventing what could have been a tragic attack on the community,” Bakatsine wrote.
