Turkey: Orban wins Turkish Süper Lig Goal of the Month award

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Nigeria forward, Gift Orban has won the Turkish Süper Lig Goal of the Month award for September.

Orban won the award for his magnificent strike in Amedspor’s 3-2 home victory over Beşiktaş.

The 24-year-old unleashed a powerful long-range shot in the 13th minute of the encounter to give Amedspor the lead.

The powerful striker, who joined Amedspor on a season-long loan from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim in July, has enjoyed an impressive start to life in Turkey.

Orban has so far scored seven goals and registered two assists in six league appearances for Besnik Hasi’s side.

He is currently the joint-top scorer in the league, along with Trabzonspor star Mohamed Salah.

Amedspor, who are currently top of the standings, will be away to Gençlerbirliği in their next league game on Saturday, October 10.
