Turkey: Osimhen names Turkish team giving Galatasaray most trouble since joining club

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has named Kasımpaşa as one of the teams that have given his side the most trouble in the Turkish Super Lig since he joined the club from Napoli.

Osimhen made the remarks after featuring in Galatasaray’s 3-1 victory over Kasımpaşa on Friday evening.

“As for today’s match, just like our coach said, we were expecting it to be a tough one,” the Nigerian international told HT Spor.

“The one thing you should never do in this league is underestimate any team or opponent. Since the day I joined this league, Kasımpaşa has been one of the teams that have given us the most trouble. Even before, we went 3-0 up, but they brought it back to 3-3,” he said.

Osimhen will now hope to lead Galatasaray to victory when they face Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Galatasaray currently sit at the top of the Turkish Super Lig table with 16 points from seven games following their victory over Kasımpaşa.
