UCL: Arsenal suffer double injury blow ahead of Lille clash

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Arsenal have suffered a double injury blow ahead of their Champions League clash with Lille on Tuesday.

Mikel Arteta will be without the duo of Piero Hincapie and Martin Zubimendi for the game at the Emirates.

Hincapie and Zubimendi were injured during the warm down after the Gunners beat Leeds 2-1 on Saturday.

Hincapie came on as a substitute during the second half of the Premier League fixture, while Zubimendi didn’t feature at all.

They are not expected to feature against Lille as Arsenal seek a second consecutive win in the Champions League.

However, in what is good news for Arteta, William Saliba is back training on the grass as he recovers from a back problem.
