Barcelona captain Raphinha has expressed sadness over the death of Tenerife attacker Jesús De Miguel.
The Brazilian spoke to CBS Sports after Barcelona's 3-0 win against Aston Villa in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Recall that De Miguel died on Tuesday, the day after a harsh collision with an outrushing Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono that led to the player experiencing cardiac arrest.
Reacting, Raphinha also sent his condolences to De Miguel's family.
"Today I'm very sad. I don't want to speak about football. I apologize to you," Raphinha said.
"I would like to send strength to Jesús' family who today woke up to very sad news, the news of his passing.
"He was a player who was the same age as me. I don't know if that is why it affected me more."
