President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and First Lady Janet Museveni hosted the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, at a state dinner in Entebbe.
The visit was disclosed by the Redemption Television Ministry in a series of posts on X on Tuesday as part of Adeboye’s apostolic visit to Uganda.
The ministry expressed appreciation to the Ugandan President and his wife for receiving the cleric and his wife at the state reception.
“RCCG expresses heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni for hosting Pastor Adeboye, and Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye at a State Dinner, Entebbe,” the ministry stated.
The visit also featured the consecration of Pastor Patience Museveni Rwabwogo as a bishop at a service officiated by Adeboye.
The ministry described the event as the “Episcopal Consecration of Pastor Patience Museveni Rwabwogo,” celebrating her elevation to the episcopacy.
“The Office of the General Overseer of RCCG rejoices with Pastor Patience Museveni Rwabwogo on her consecration as Bishop at a historic service officiated by Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye,” it added.
During his visit to Uganda, Adeboye also met with the CEO of Osborn Ministries International, Bishop Dr LaDonna Osborn, in Kampala.
“During his apostolic visit to Uganda, Pastor E.A. Adeboye hosted Bishop Dr. LaDonna Osborn, CEO of Osborn Ministries International, for a strategic fellowship in Kampala,” the ministry said.
The activities formed part of Adeboye’s apostolic visit, which brought together Christian leaders and other prominent personalities in Uganda.
