Ugandan TikTok personality Timothy Kayanja, popularly known as Jayden, has died after a prolonged battle with a serious blood condition.
Jayden reportedly passed away in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in India, where he had travelled to seek specialised medical treatment, including a bone marrow transplant.
His death has triggered an outpouring of grief among his family, friends, fellow content creators and thousands of followers who had closely followed his health journey.
News of his death emerged on Tuesday morning, with fellow Ugandan TikToker Sheila Price among those announcing the heartbreaking development.
“The sad news we just got at this moment is that Jayden has passed on. It’s such bad news,” Sheila said.
Jayden’s health battle had in recent months drawn significant public attention, prompting Ugandans, fellow TikTokers, friends and well-wishers to rally financial support towards his treatment.
The fundraising drive became a reflection of the strong bond he had built with his online community, as supporters mobilised resources to help him access medical care.
