President Donald Trump of the United States, US, on Tuesday, decried the persecution of Christians across the world by aversive regimes.
Trump urged the United Nations members to form a formidable force against the enemies of humanity, and make the world a better, stronger, safer, and a peaceful place.
He made this known while addressing the 81st UN General Assembly, UNGA, holding in New York.
According to Trump, UN member nations must not shy away from their duties to fellow members.
He said: “Christians are being persecuted all over the world but its been happening for a long time, the persecution of Christians by crimes of the world’s most aversive regimes yet they want America to open up her borders to gangs and criminals from the world’s most ancient places, the want the worst people to come in from the worst places of the world and we don’t do it any more.
“As we gather in this same city two and the half centuries later to discuss the events of our time, that is the challenge for every nation in this room. We go forward and strong against the enemies of humanity if we reject the voices that would have us given to fear and doubt, if we refuse to shrink from our duties to our people and together we will make this world far safer and a better place, we will leave our nations far stronger, we will grow our economies far bigger, and we will not just think of peace, prosperity and peace not just here at the United Nations, but we will stay in for them all over the world and together we will build a future for our people that is brighter, more hopeful, and more magnificent than ever before.”
