The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, will deliver the keynote address at the 5th Anambra Man of The Year Awards, organisers have announced.
Themed “Unstoppable Anambra,” this year’s event will celebrate the achievements of distinguished Anambra indigenes who have excelled in various fields of human endeavour while promoting the state’s culture of excellence and innovation.
According to the organisers, Prof. Anyaehie’s keynote is expected to highlight the resilience, innovation and leadership that have shaped Anambra’s development and inspired its people.
The AMTY Awards have, over the years, featured notable personalities as keynote speakers, including Stella Okunna, the first female Professor of Mass Communication in Sub-Saharan Africa; George Moghalu; Francisca Nwafulugo; and Cecilia Emeh.
The awards ceremony will recognise outstanding Anambra sons and daughters whose contributions have made significant impacts in business, education, public service, entrepreneurship, and other sectors.
Prof. Anyaehie, a Professor of Physiology and Clinical Measurements, became the 7th substantive Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University in November 2025 and has consistently advocated academic excellence, innovation and institutional development.
