The United States has bombarded Iran with another wave of air strikes, making it 12th consecutive night attack in the recent conflict.
The US Central Command, CENTCOM, made this announcement in a post on X.
“The mission will continue to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting regional waters,” the statement said.
CENTCOM further pointed out that the latest attacks struck maritime capabilities, missile and drone storage facilities, coastal surveillance sites and air defense assets.
According to the US forces, the attack degraded Iran’s ability to strike civilian mariners and commercial vessels.
It further stated that it redirected nine commercial vessels and disabled another, continuing to enforce the naval blockade of Iran’s ports.
