US not holding talks with Iran – Trump

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

US President Donald Trump has said the United States is not holding talks with Iran and has no discussions planned with the country.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the US naval blockade of Iran remained in “full force and effect”.

He also claimed that the Strait of Hormuz was still “open and operating” and that mines in the waterway “have been removed or detonated”.

Trump’s latest statement marks a change from what he said a day earlier, when he claimed that the US was holding back-channel talks with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Tehran denied that any such talks were taking place.
