Veteran Nigerian Juju musician Iyun Janet Ajilore, popularly known as Saint Janet, has been laid to rest in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The legendary singer was buried at her residence on Wednesday, following a series of funeral activities attended by her colleagues in the music industry, children, relatives and other loved ones.
Emotional scenes were witnessed during the burial as Saint Janet’s children and other mourners gathered around her remains to pay their final respects. Clips from the ceremony showed the heartbreaking moments as family members said their final goodbyes to the beloved musician.
The funeral rites began on Tuesday with a candlelight service, Artists’ Night and Christian wake held at the AIT/Faaji FM compound in Kola Alagbado, Lagos.
