The vice-presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Usman Bugaje, has said that the party will prioritise addressing the shortfall in electricity supply as part of efforts to improve the economy and tackle poverty in Nigeria, if elected in the 2027 presidential election.
Bugaje, who stated while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, said there is a connection between the challenges of poverty and insecurity in the country.
The former member of the House of Representatives, however, noted that the prevailing insecurity was a result of a lack of ideas and the absence of political will.
