The Deputy Governor of Lagos State and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 election, Obafemi Hamzat, says his vision is to reduce the time Lagos residents spend travelling from their homes to their places of work or business.

Lagos has long faced traffic congestion on major roads, often resulting in longer commuting times for residents.

Speaking on the Independence Day edition of The Platform, organised by the Covenant Nation on Thursday, Hamzat assured Lagosians that reducing travel time across the state would be a key focus of his vision.

“My vision is if you live in Agege or you live in Ajegunle or you live in Ajah or in Igando, the time it takes you from your home to your work or where you ply your trade, I guarantee that it is going to be shorter than it is today, that is my guarantee,” Hamzat said.
