The police have reportedly arrested 146 persons suspected of being brought into Osun State to participate in Saturday’s governorship election.

The suspects were allegedly arrested at the residence of Hon. Abiola Ibrahim, a member of the Osun State House of Assembly representing Irewole-Isokan Constituency and a member of the Accord Party.

A video circulating online showed the lawmaker explaining the presence of the large number of people at his father’s residence.

The circumstances surrounding the arrest, including the identities of those arrested and the allegations against them, were not immediately clear.

The police had yet to issue an official statement or provide further details on the incident as of the time of filing this report.
