Volta Police engage traders over alleged highway harassment and extortion

The Volta Regional Police Command has engaged traders over allegations of harassment and extortion involving some police personnel operating along the Aflao-Sogakope Highway. Chief Inspector Francis Gomado, Volta Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), said the engagement formed part of a fact-finding and public sensitisation exercise conducted by the Command on Monday, August 31, 2026.
