
Malawi head coach, Lovemore Fazili praised his players for a brave and disciplined performance against the Super Falcons.
The Scorchers recorded a stunning 3-2 victory over the defending champions in their opening fixture.
Skipper Tabitha Chawinga was on target once in the game, while her sister Themwa bagged a brace.
Fazili said it was a good performance from his team.
“The game was very good, an excellent game for that matter. The players played very well. They put in everything and showed that they are capable of delivering,” said Fazili.
Malawi sit in second position in Group C on goal difference behind regional rivals Zambia.
The Scorchers will face Egypt in their next game on Saturday.
