Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Morocco will face the winner of the Nigeria vs Cameroon quarter-final at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON.

The Atlas Lionesses booked their semi-final spot, thanks to a narrow 2-1 victory over South Africa on Saturday night.

Sakina Ouzraoui scored for the hosts, before Hanan Ait El Haj doubled their lead from the penalty spot.

Bayana Bayana scored what proved to be mere consolation through Thembi Kgatlana in the 67th minute.

Morocco could now face Super Falcons, who they lost to in the final of the last edition.

All WAFCON semi-finalists will also qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
