WAFCON 2026: Super Falcons, Ghana friendly called off

The planned pre-2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, international friendly between Nigeria’s Super Falcons and Ghana’s Black Queens has been called off.

According to information available on the Super Falcons’ official X account, the game was called off due to unforeseen circumstances.

The match had earlier been scheduled to take place at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Saturday.

It was intended to serve as preparation for both teams ahead of the 2026 WAFCON finals.

The Super Falcons set up camp in Casablanca on Monday in preparation for the tournament.

Justine Madugu’s side will begin the defence of their title against the Scorchers of Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on
