Zambia striker, Barbra Banda and Malawi’s Temwa Chawinga are the current joint-top scorers at the ongoing CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, ahead of the final on Sunday.
Banda and Chawinga have five goals each to their names following the conclusion of the WAFCON semi-final stage on Wednesday.
Recall that Cameroon defeated WAFCON hosts, Morocco to set up a final against Malawi, who defeated Algeria in the other semi-final fixture.
WAFCON’s top scorers so far ahead of Malawi’s final with Cameroon:
Five goals – Barbra Banda (Zambia) and Temwa Chawinga (Malawi).
Four goals – Inès Konan (Ivory Coast) and Tabitha Chawinga.
Three goals – Thembi Kgatlana (South Africa) and Marie Ngah (Cameroon)
