WAFU B Champions League: Edo Queens get tough group opponents

Edo Queens have been drawn in Group B of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League with ASEC Mimosas of Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa and AS Garde Nationale of Niger Republic, DAILY POST reports.

Moses Aduku’s side will be participating in the competition for the second time.

The Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, champions won the tournament on their maiden appearance in 2024.

Hosts USFA of Burkina Faso, Benin Republic’s Dynamique FC and ASKO of Togo will do battle in Group A.

The competition will be staged in Burkina Faso from Sunday, 23 August to Saturday, 5 September, 2026

It will serve as the qualifying tournament for the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.

Edo Queens finished fourth on their maiden appearance in the competition in 2024.
