Super Eagles head coach, Éric Chelle has heaped plaudits on the Flying Eagles following their brilliant display against Togo, DAILY POST reports.
The defending champions secured their place in the semi-finals following a comfortable 3-0 victory over the Sparrow Hawks in Yamoussoukro on Thursday.
After a goalless first half, Abdu Maikaba’s side put pressure on the Togolese, scoring through Abdumuiz Adeleke (brace), and substitute Abdoulaye Agbeloye.
Chelle, who was in Cote d’Ivoire to support the Flying Eagles at the WAFU B U-20 Championship was impressive with the way they turn the game around.
“I was happy with what I saw in the second-half. They played well in the second half, they put a lot of pressure on Togo, got the ball high on the pitch, got a lot of chances to score goals and they did,” Chelle said after the game.
The Flying Eagles will face Burkina Faso in their last group game on Sunday.
