Flying Eagles head coach, Abdu Maikaba has said his team will be gunning for revenge against Burkina Faso in the final of the WAFU B U-20 Championship, DAILY POST reports.
Sunday’s final will hold at the Stade Charles Konan Banny in Yamoussoukro,
It will also determine the second team from WAFU B zone that will join Ghana in the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
Burkina Faso defeated the Flying Eagles 2-0 in a group game earlier in the competition.
Maikaba is optimistic his side will get the better of the young Stallions this time around.
“I think this is an opportunity for us to redeem ourselves having lost to Burkina Faso in the group stage. Having played them before, we now have an idea of their shape and structure and we are working on how to capitalize on their weaknesses, while also consolidating on our own strength,” Maikaba told thenff.com.
The encounter will kick-off at 7pm Nigeria time.
