WAFU B U-20 Tourney: Flying Eagles to begin title defence against Ghana

Defending champions Flying Eagles of Nigeria will begin their campaign at the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship against perennial rivals Black Satellites of Ghana, DAILY POST reports.

The Group B encounter will hold at the prestigious Lycée Scientifique de Yamoussoukro on Monday, 27 July.

The encounter will be a repeat of the 2024 final which the Flying Eagles won 2-1.

Abdu Maikaba’s side will face Junior Sparrow Hawks of Togo in their second game at the same Lycée Scientifique de Yamoussoukro on Thursday, 30 July.

They will wrap up their Group B matches against Young Stallions of Burkina Faso at the same ground on Sunday, 2nd August.

The competition will serve as the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
