The president of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Kemo Ceesay, accompanied by General Secretary Lamin Jassey, yesterday attended the 15th West African Football Union (Wafu) Zone A General Assembly and Elective Congress, hosted by at the African Princess Hotel.
The congress discussed key issues of football development and the future of the regional football body.
As part of the congress, the zone elected a new leadership to succeed Lamin Bajo, whose term ended yesterday.
Mário Semedo, the president of the Cabo Verde FA, was elected as new president of the zone while Sierra Leone’s Babadi Kama and Mali’s Mahazou Baba Cissé were elected as the first and second vice presidents respectively.
