‘We cannot be besieged or defeated’ – Iran warns US against further attacks

Daily Post about 7 hours 1 mins read

The Iranian military has warned the United States against further attacks.

The spokesman of the military, Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaghari, gave the warning on Tuesday, stating that the US will be targeted by new tools and methods if it attacks Iran again.

According to the state Fars news agency, the military spokesman said Iran cannot be besieged or defeated.

“Given the dominance of the armed forces over the Strait of Hormuz and the irreversibility of the situation in the strait to the past, the enemy’s only option is to respect the Iranian nation and observe Iran’s rights,” the military said.

This warning is coming as Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of the Iranian parliament’s national security commission, said the Strait of Hormuz will “forever remain in the possession and management” of Tehran.

Recall that United States Donald Trump said he had called off new strikes on Iran at the request of Gulf states while serious negotiations with Tehran were taking place.

Trump, however, warned that the US was preparing for a full assault on Iran if a deal was not reached.
